Here are all the extras featured on The Breakfast Club: 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray. The late, great John Hughes wrote and directed any number of classic comedies. He started out as the screenwriter of movies like National Lampoon’s Vacation before moving behind the camera for coming of age comedies Sixteen Candles, Weird Science and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

He later moved from teen movies to more grown-up fare with She’s Having A Baby and Planes, Trains And Automobiles. He also penned the scripts for the first three Home Alone movies and Beethoven. Hughes’ work was hugely influential too and has been referenced in everything from Community to Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Arguably John Hughes most loved teen drama is 1985’s The Breakfast Club. This united a cast of prominent “Brat Pack” actors, including Emilio Estevez (Young Guns) and Molly Ringwald, as a group of five students who are forced to spend a Saturday together in detention. Each one conforms to a certain stereotype - a jock, a nerd, a princess etc - but over the course of the day they all bond and become friends. The Breakfast Club means a lot to its fans and still resonates to this day. Here’s a rundown of the extras featured on The Breakfast Club 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray from 2015.

Commentary With Judd Nelson And Anthony Michael Hall

This fun Breakfast Club commentary reunites co-stars Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall (The Dark Knight). It’s an entertaining, light track where the two reminisce about the shoot, working with John Hughes and give behind the scenes trivia. Reuniting the rest of the cast would have made this track a little more substantial but Nelson and Hall make for a fun duo.

“Sincerely Yours” Documentary

“Sincerely Yours” is a multi-part featurette breaking down the making of The Breakfast Club and its resulting legacy. Hall and Nelson return, with Ally Sheedy and other talking heads featured like Diablo Cody (Juno), and the doc includes sections on each of the main characters.

“The Most Convenient Definitions: The Origins Of The Brat Pack” Featurette

A rather quick, five-minute look at the origin of the “Brat Pack” term and how it applied to The Breakfast Club cast and their peers.

“Accepting The Facts” Trivia Track

As the name suggests, this is a track that plays throughout The Breakfast Club loaded with trivia on its production.

The Breakfast Club 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray edition also comes with the standard Theatrical Trailer and a Digital Copy. While the extras could have been a little more comprehensive, what’s there should be enough to satisfy those curious about the making of the classic movie.
